Speed, mostly, and the name is not accidental. The formation flow is short, the packages are easy to tell apart, and orders move quickly. Somebody who wants an LLC registered this week without becoming a student of the process is well served, and the satisfied reviews are not manufactured.

Their registered agent service is advertised at $149. It bills quarterly.

No separate first-year rate showed up in our review. Nothing here is concealed, either; the cadence is stated. What quarterly billing does is spare the signup screen from ever displaying the annual total. Our table just displayed it.

One caveat on our own figure before you take it as the smallest available: BetterLegal advertises $90 a year, so call ours near-lowest and permanent.

What $596 Buys From New Jersey Instead

Put a single year of that quarterly arrangement against the state's own price list and the scale gets easier to feel.

• $125 forms the LLC. One payment, once, and the company exists.
• $75 plus a dollar or three files the annual report, due the last day of your anniversary month.
• $25 moves your registered agent to somebody else, on a form so old it still names Title 42:2B, the LLC act New Jersey replaced back in 2013. The state keeps accepting it anyway, and the fee has not moved.

Add those up and roughly $596 covers forming the company, changing agents once, and filing the annual report about five times over. Swyft's agent service consumes that in twelve months, then asks again.

Worth knowing about that report while we are here, because it is the deadline your agent exists to protect. It is online only; New Jersey kept no paper channel for it. Your first one is not owed in your formation year but the year after. And no flat late fine attaches to it, which reads as generous right up until you learn what happens after two years missed back to back: New Jersey can revoke the company outright. The notices warning you about all of that arrive at your registered office, which is where mail speed stops being an abstraction.

New Jersey's Route Off a Swyft Filings Appointment

The change is Form L-122 with a $25 statutory fee, filed with DORES either by mail with a check or through the state's online business amendments service. It asks for the company name matching the state record character for character, your business ID number, then who the new agent is and a location for them inside New Jersey. Sequence, once more, because it is the only place this goes wrong: appoint the replacement and get the certificate filed before you cancel with Swyft. New Jersey keeps them on the record until the change is processed, so filing first means the two overlap and nothing is ever addressed to an agent who no longer works for you.
